The BREEAM certificate is a British system for assessing buildings in terms of energy efficiency and environmental impact. It is currently one of the most commonly used methods for assessing buildings in terms of their environmental performance in Europe. From the Polish Green Building Council research comes out that BREEAM is the most popular in Poland certificate granted to buildings designed, built, and used in accordance with the principles of sustainable construction. For 502 certified buildings, as many as 356 (71 per cent) have just the BREEAM certificate.
Certification includes both construction management, i.e. requirements included in the annex to the contract with the general contractor, as well as the entire building. BREEAM assesses the “green” efficiency of buildings in areas such as management, energy, health and well-being (internal and external factors affecting the health and wellbeing of employees), pollution, ecology, development of green areas, as well as materials to use for building.
The 3T Office Park investment received the BREEAM Interim certificate at the “Excellent” level.
